A reinstall of the machine with another dvd of centos 6.4 gives the same resolute.

I hope someone can help to solved this problem.

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

It seems internet connection issue. Check your network if you are behind the proxy. If it is proxy then you have to set proxy ip and user/password in yum.conf .

I don't use a proxy server, so that not the problem at all.

The server is directly connected to switch in the datacenter.

I would suspect a misconfigured router.

contact to your datacenter support that why the server do not have internet connectivity. Get sure with internet connectivity before raise the ticket. ping any domain name like ping google.com or try curl command. If your server is in DMZ zone in datacenter this is also reason it do not have internet. Let us know your feedback
check your /etc/resolv.conf for nameserver. check ipaddress and gateway settings also. It must be correct info as per given by datacenter.

That looks awfully like the error you get from a proxy that has cached incomplete metadata. I'd suggest that you try adding
http_caching=packages
to your yum.conf and then try `yum clean all` and retry.

Just because you don't think there is a proxy in the way doesn't mean there isn't.

Once this helped me.
Today i've got the same problem again. (Hyper-V instance of Centos 6.4 x86_64 with 2 virtual netcards - for int and ext networks)
Reason was found in wrong routes.

So, type

Code: Select all

route -n
and check if routes are right.
if your system has more than 1 network interface, check default gw.
