I´m trying to install / use freepascal under CentOS 5.1
While installing RPM occurs this error message about depedency´s > Missing dependency: libtinfo.so.5()(64bit) is needed...

Where can I find this library? I have searched through google, but I have only found this library in RPM with libraries for ncursers... And this RPM can´t be installed - Dependency conflict...

I was able to install the "fpc-2.2.0" RPM package from the FreePascal project site without problems. It does not have a dependency on a "libtinfo.so.5".

Try that package instead, or give us more details on what exactly it is that you're trying to do/install.

I have a fresh installation of CentOS 5.1 from DVD. I have AMD Athlon X2 64 bit processor.
I have download rpm from this link Link to 64 bit freepascal RPM
When I try install this RPM this error ocures: ¨Missing Dependency: libtinfo.so.5()(64bit) is needed by package fpc¨

Edit: I have tryed also the other version of free pascal RPM from link i386 freepascal RPM.
With this RPM was no dependency problem, but it was not signed. This version functions properly.

So it seem it is only problem of 64 bit packadge. Is someplace, where can I find and install this missing library, or shall I report this as a bug to CentOS mantis?

Because this is not something CentOS ships, filing a bug in the CentOS bug tracker will not help. You might want to report to the freepascal folks.

I also got the same error, but I tried to install the alpine mail client (alpine-1.10-1.i386.rpm)..
Missing Dependency: libtinfo.so.5 is needed by package alpine

Any suggestions?

alpine is available from rpmforge. Please read:

http://wiki.centos.org/Repositories/RPMForge

and set up this repository. Once it's done, all you need is:

yum --enablerepo=rpmforge install alpine

Glad you got it working. Thanks for reporting back. alpine 1.x is indeed very nice.
