Hi,

I'm running a fairly stock Centos 5.2 box with apache webserver serving html and php content just fine.

Wanting to get rubyOnRails supported as well I've installed it but am hitting some SeLinux problems preventing it running.

installed rubygems from source as that didn't appear to be present in the official repo's

yum install httpd-devel apr-devel ruby ruby-devel ruby-libs
gem install passenger
passenger-install-apache2-module
/sbin/restorecon -R -v /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/passenger-2.0.3
chcon -t httpd_sys_content_t '/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/passenger-2.0.3/ext/apache2/ApplicationPoolServerExecutable'
**added PassengerRoot etc code from above installer into /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf**
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart

every time I run the httpd restart I get an SeLinux troubleshooter error stating:
SELinux is preventing the httpd from using potentially mislabeled files (passenger_status.21689.fifo).

(the number in the filename changes every time)

I cannot find the passenger_status file and was hoping that someone here might have been through this before or could advise a way to get around this, ideally without disabling SeLinux totally

Thanks

wow gerald, a simple RTFM would have been just as helpful.

Anyone found out how to fix this? the OP maybe?
