Hi th350urc3,
first of all I would suggest you to use the latest spacewalk-client-tools from the 'official' Spacewalk Repo and EPEL (if necessary). There you will find a more current version of most tools. If you have registered your system to spacewalk using rhnreg_ks and installed necessary packages (like rhnsd m2crypto yum-rhn-plugin) you should be able to use yum on client side and to schedule updates via spacewalk. Hi,
I had the same problem when installing Spacewalk 0.6 on CentOS 5.3 The issue was that I choose sha-256 instead of sha1 as Yum Repository Checksum Type, but this isn't working with CentOS 5.3 clients. After changing the checksum type I did a "yum clean all" on the clients and installing/upgrading packages from my Spacewalk server did work. regards, scrat |

Hi
I had the same issue - solution to get the client happy was: yum makecache Then everything started working as expected |
