New install of 5.4 and I have a dell S1909W display that runs 1440x900.

I don't run a windowed environment and only use CLI.

I am only getting 25 lines per screen with huge text and I need to set the resolution so I can actually work :)

I tried adding vga=866 to my /boot/grub/menu.lst file at the end of the kernel line but nothing changes after reboot.

What am I doing wrong?

I use 'vga=773' on my 1440x900 displays. The text is not quite perfect, but at least usable. (For me anyway.)
