AM having some major problems, wonder if anyone can help, I am a newbie to this area, but appreciate any thoughts on this,

my good server man sent:

This is Far Worse then I initially thought.

I was able to access the server in Single User mode and look around.

1) Your system partition is NOT Full, it’s at 96% (Dangerous Level)

2) Major portions of the Operating System are completely missing, thus causing very few services to Start, including the ability to login.

There are a couple of options at this point.

1 – We can Install a New OS Hard Drive (Larger of course), and probably bulk copy your data to the new Drive. Downside is that you will need to setup everything in the DirectAdmin control panel from scratch and then Move files around on the hard drive from Linux command line. This will probably be upwards of 100 hours of work for you or your tech. (I couldn’t be of much help as I don’t have the hours available)

2 – We can attempt to repair the OS by reinstalling CentOS and hope everything will still work as it is configured. Downside is that you RISK losing EVERYTHING including all content.

Give me your thoughts. I know that neither option sounds good.

No need to post twice (your other post was deleted)
Regarding your issue , my first question is 'where are your backups located' .. it seems also that you don't manage your server yourself, nor knows how to do it
You also have to know that control panels heavily modify the OS in such a way that we usually say that it's not a CentOS server anymore. You also paid for that service and support.
Reinstalling the OS without formatting the disk is doable but usually better to reinstall completely (the best would be to understand what happened to that system though)
