First step is to see if your ISP allows you to run a mail server. Many ISPs block the ports required for many different services including mail. If you get past that, then there's the question of if your server is directly connected to the internet or (more likely) behind a router using NAT. If the latter, then you need to learn about port forwarding. Then there's the question of whether your Verizon device can be persuaded to do what you want, or whether it is locked down to Verizon's services. All in all it is likely quite a long shot to get it working.

If still game, investigate the points above, provide more information, and come back with some "smart questions".

1 AT&T DSL doesn Not Block the port. 2: yes they haveto be fowarded and have been allready. 3: for the Verizon XV6700 it has Wifi and its mini version of Outlook Express is capable of send/recive via Wifi

i would continue using my free Mail provider (inbox.com) but not only when you check via POP3 do you get inbox contents but "star"ed email and Spam. on a tiny lil 412MHZ Intel PXA270 ARM processor w/ only a usable 64MB of 128MB for Program AND storage space.tons of email is going to clutter what lil of 5MB i have left for storage space after a short while when i get on average close to 60 spam emails.

so instead of saying " comeback and ask Smart question could of been nice and say " research and comeback with more info"
