Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.
After reading those links you should realize why you should not hijack threads as you have done. Please start a new Topic for your issue to get the attention you need, providing a link to this one if required for context; however, cPanel makes so many changes to the OS it is no longer CentOS, despite possible claims to the contrary, so any advice from here may well result in breaking your system. I have also ran into this issue. My cPanel server has been having intermittent SSL issues, https, secure imap and smtp have all been failing for a few minutes then working again for a few minutes.
root@ns1 [/]# rpm -qa | grep openssl openssl-devel-0.9.8e-20.el5_7.1 openssl-0.9.8e-20.el5_7.1 openssl-devel-0.9.8e-20.el5_7.1 openssl-0.9.8e-20.el5_7.1 While I have a ticket open with cPanel, I was wondering if anyone else has seen ssl issues since this issue occurred and how did you manage to fix them. As of right now running commands in this thread is not resolving the issue. |

Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.
The issue of the missing multi-arch packages has been resolved some time ago. If still having problems it is apparently either a defective mirror or a problem with your configuration. If you need more help please start a new Topic for your issue to get the attention you need, providing a link to this one if required for context. Continuing here would be considered thread hijacking. |

I still get the "missing dependency" CentOS release 5.7 (Final) on the error, though run yum clean metadata.

Thanks Phil, but the update just went through of its own accord. Thanks to everyone involved in sorting this out!

Works from here. Should just be a matter of waiting for the mirrors to get in sync; however, don't forget to try "yum clean all", or at least "yum clean metadata" if bandwidth limited and you want to avoid cleaning the package cache.

Hi Phil, thanks for the heads-up.
I'm still getting a 'missing dependency' error on CentOS release 5.7 (Final), despite running a yum clean metadata. Will see if it clears overnight. |

Thanks Trevor and Phil. This did the trick for all of my CentOS release 5.7 (Final) 64-bit servers.

Phil, the 1st fix is wrong and the mirror is now missing the openssl-devel i386 package. Fixed one thing, broke another so the updates still will apply.
Edit: it appears to have been fixed now on the main mirror so if anyone is still having this problem then either your local mirror has not yet updated or you need to run |

Welcome to the CentOS fora, swinny. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature, particularly the guidelines on commercial links in signatures. They have been removed from yours.
All - still no resolution to the error from where I sit. As of a few minutes ago this issue was reported as fixed on IRC #centos-devel so it should propagate to the mirrors soon. |

Thanks for the update, Trevor. I'm still seeing the issue on CentOS 5.7, but presumably it will stop trying to update soon.

The i386 update is missing from the master mirror but it's being looked at and should be fixed. I think the x86_64 one has now been removed too which will fix the issue temporarily but doesn't get anyone the update
Those changes need to trickle from the master mirror to the others before they'll be visible. |
