Thanks for reporting back. Guess I should have explicitly stated my suspicions about the cause, rather than just asking for the data to confirm them. Marking this thread [SOLVED] for posterity.

Problem Solved,
it had to do with the GPT partitions, basic linux setup wouldn't allow to create a bigger volume than 2.2 TB. Found the solution here: http://www.jonno.org/drupal/node/8 Thanks anyway |

Difficult to say what is going on with no hard data. Please provide more information about your system by running "./getinfo.sh disk" and showing us the output file.
