8 to Infinity Pte Ltd had been using Centos for quite a number of years. We saw how it has grown from its first version to the Current Centos 5.1. On our end, we started installing Centos for dedicated server users who requested for it but end up using Centos as our default Linux distro for dedicated servers.

We had now migrated our mission critical servers such as email clusters to the Centos distro and am amazed by the ease and reliability of maintenance for our Centos servers. Support of hardware companies providing drivers for Centos distro had also become common making it far easier for us to do installations on most hardware on the market.

We would like to thank the Centos team for the remarkable jobs that had done and would definitely continue promoting Centos to our clients not just for servers but also more and more for desktop computers. Great Job and Great Distro!

Ascella Technologies Inc, a virginia based IT consulting and services company, uses CentOS-4.6 as the operating system for the web server to host mission critical business applications. The server is installed with Qmail, MySQL, Apache, PHP, Dovecot, Asterisk and OpenVPN for our business requirements. We are satisfied with performance of the server and didn't had any issues so far.

Alprokon Aluminium B.V. is manufacturer and developer of aluminium profiles, used as a lockingsystem for double doors. These systems can be fire resistant and/or burglarproof. The company, located in the Netherlands, has chosen CentOS as operating system for their new webserver.

The webserver (hosting the websites www.alprokon.com and www.brandwerend.com) has been put into service starting January 1st this year. The 64 bits version of CentOS-5 has been installed on it. Main reason why CentOS is used as operating system was stability. Besides that, CentOS provides maximum flexibility which allows us to deploy our webserver in the way we need it.

The eigth Free and Open source Software Developers' European Meeting (FOSDEM 2008) will take place the 23th and 24th February 2008. FOSDEM is organized by volunteers to promote the widespread use of Free and Open Source software. This year's meeting is taking place in the beautiful city of Brussels (Belgium). FOSDEM meetings are recognized as "The best Free and Open Source events in Europe."

The CentOS project will be represented at FOSDEM by three of our Core Development members (Karanbir Singh, Ralph Angenendt, Dag Wieers) and several members of the CentOS community.

The CentOS project will have a Booth at FOSDEM for both days of the event, where we will display our current Distribution (CentOS 5.1) and the newly released CentOS 5.1 Live CD.
