How can I easily compare the what is in CentOS 2, CentOS 3 and CentOS 4?
On the CentOS Distro Page at DistroWatch.com you can compare Major packages (currently 54) and All tracked packages (currently 177).

DistroWatch is an great resource for comparing Linux and BSD distributions.
