Re: partitions

There are some ext2/3/4 aware programs for windows which will allow you to resize your partitions like Paragon Partition Manager.

Re: system reinstall and keeping /home and users

This is a re-install of Centos 7, not an upgrade from Centos 6 or some other distro? You might want to check your logs to see what went wrong when the desktop failed to start after logging in as user Dave. As giulix63 suggested back up those home dirs, if you haven't already, before going any further.

Re: system reinstall and keeping /home and users

Open a shell $ su to root, $ cd /home, $ ls -l should give you something like: drwx------. 28 admin admin 4096 Feb 23 09:10 admin drwx------. 2 1003 1004 4096 Feb 25 10:27 fourofseven drwx------. 2 root root 16384 Aug 23 2015 lost+found drwx------. 51 rick rick 4096 Feb 25 09:48 rick fourofseven has...

Re: systemd NetworkManager

That's dbus logging those messages, not systemd. There's a bug somewhere open for it (can't remember exactly), anyway those are only warnings: You can ignore them. systemd: Dependency failed for Network Manager Wait Online: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1141961 This seems to have been...

Re: systemd NetworkManager

I have read through some of the documentation at: https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/ NetworkManager was disabled via systemctl disable NetworkManager I have tried masking which adds around 30secs to the boot time and results in almost the same system log entries. network does not see...

Re: systemd NetworkManager

I've not been able to get anywhere with this, my syslog is full of these messages all from dbus->systemd. Where/who can i contact to get this sorted? The only systemd mailing list i can find is the devel one, doesn't look like right place to post issues but unless some one has a better idea i guess ...
