Re: Wordpress Root Permissions Issue
petersh, one thing stuck out to me was when you said your main wordpress directory was non-writable, I can only say that mine (httpdocs) is 750, writeable by its owner.

Re: Yum Update question
Thank you Steve
Would you classify this as an important update?
I'm inclined to wait for 7.5 if it is not.

Re: Is PHP 5.4.45 on Centos 6.9 secure and easily upgraded
Thank you.
I did not mean to question anyone's authority or knowledge.
There is no doubt Plesk are giving me the runaround.
A genuine user seems to think PHP is probably part of a pre-installed image that the hosting provider uses to install new servers.
That would make sense.

Re: Is PHP 5.4.45 on Centos 6.9 secure and easily upgraded
Thank you for your input. I am unable to decide who is correct.
However, a short time ago you said I did not have CentOS, but all the evidence says otherwise
# cat /etc/issue.net
CentOS release 6.9 (Final)

# cat /etc/issue.net
CentOS release 6.9 (Final)
I have checked at Plesk and they say definitively the PHP Version 5.4.45 is issued by the OS Vendor, and that would appear to be CentOS
When I run yum check-update the repositories checked appear to be official CentOS ones
