I got error message when update system
I am running CentOS 7 on my server, with PHP 7.2.33 installed. Today I tried to update the system with "yum update -y" command but got following error message: [root ~]# yum update -y Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * remi: mirrors.tuna.tsinghua.edu.cn * remi...

Re: CentOS.org still uses nginx 1.6.x?
You misunderstood me. I mean "www.centos.org' website server, not my own server.
This official website/forum is on a server than runs NginX 1.6.3.

Re: Why centos still offers openssl 1.0.1e while Openssl stable version is already 1.1.0 ?
Today I noticed that both RedHat.com and CentOS.org websites had already enabled HTTPS, but, they has NOT enable http/2. I also noticed that centos.org is using nginx 1.6.3 now . So it is not difficult to understand that both of you did not think upgrading openssl from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2 is important. T...

CentOS.org still uses nginx 1.6.x?
Yesterday I met a temporary down of CentOS.org server, I saw following message on my browser: 504 Gateway Time-out nginx/1.6.3 Are you still using NingX 1.6.3? That is incredible! I noticed that centos.org has enabed HTTPS, why not use Nginx 1.9.5+ to obtain http/2 hence you will get improved https ...

Re: Why centos still offers openssl 1.0.1e while Openssl stable version is already 1.1.0 ?
Thank you, now I have some conclusion: I need to wait for new CentOS release for openssl 1.0.2. There is nothing to do to speed up this "updating" process. For the nginx issue, you can read this topic if you are interested : https://forum.vestacp.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=12522&p=50885#p49618 I also ...

Re: Why centos still offers openssl 1.0.1e while Openssl stable version is already 1.1.0 ?
Someone has already filed a bug to get OpenSSL 1.0.2 to RHEL. From the looks of it, it might make it to RHEL 7.4. When that (or RHEL 8) is released is unknown. Red Hat does not preannounce their release dates. I'm aware that OpenSSL 1.0.1 does not support ALPN, but as its absence did not seem to ca...

Re: Why centos still offers openssl 1.0.1e while Openssl stable version is already 1.1.0 ?
In fact, I had read that "Backporting " page months ago. It can not answer my question, it can NOT solve this issue: 1) openssl 1.0.2 is NOT bleeding edge version. ( According to openssll official: "The latest stable version is the 1.1.0 series of releases" ) If compared to openssl 1.1.0 , can you s...

Re: Why centos still offers openssl 1.0.1e while Openssl stable version is already 1.1.0 ?
Because I can't understand why Redhat/contos will not agree to upgrade openssl to a STABLE version 1.0.2 which is a litter higher than the current version 1.0.1 ? And I also can not understand that there is no way to "suggest" such a upgrading idea to the original source of this problem, the very be...

Re: Why centos still offers openssl 1.0.1e while Openssl stable version is already 1.1.0 ?
I don't think this is a VestaCP problem.
It seems that RedHat/CentOS will NOT update openssl to 1.0.2 in 7.x version. Any news on RHEL 8/CentOS 8? Is there any roadmap? When will CentOS 8 released?
Thank you.
