Re: BEST way EVER to make aan USB BOOTABLE for CENTOS7
Hi guys, Just tried to get Rufus 2.12 to burn CentOS 7 but I found that when selecting ISO and then the CentOS7 ISO, then START, it then gives me the option of Hybrid ISO (recommended) or DD. Selecting Hybrid ISO results in a USB stick that isn't detected by the BIOS, while DD works correctly. Now m...

Re: PHP 5.6 on CentOS 6.8?
How do I uninstall mod_php, and if I do, will my Wordpress default to the newer PHP version? Or do I have to do something else also?

Re: PHP 5.6 on CentOS 6.8?
Thanks for your reply mghe, I like what you're thinking about using a Software Collection to install it side-by-side so as to allow for legacy support. Looking at all the information on the internet I see that yum update will only update to 5.3.3, and some mutterings about a security issue that was plugged in PHP 5.4. Will Cent...

Re: How do I deselect all in Software Updates
Hi Trevor, Thanks for the quick reply. I do know how to use the CLI to select or exclude specific updates, but that isn't my question :? Is there a way to deselect all updates in Software Updates? I like the gui, it works well, and I wish to use it whenever possible. I expect that it either isn't po...

How do I deselect all in Software Updates
Hi guys, probably a really noob question here... My computer lost connection to the local update server for some reason and after updating the ca-certificates (sudo yum clean all, sudo yum upgrade ca-certificates) it is now telling me I have 410 updates to complete. We are in the middle of our big s...
