Re: adding permanent enviroment variable for all users

You also need to open the firewall ports on the client.
You can use nmap to check if they are reachable.

Re: Machine shutting itself down randomly

If memtest86+ runs for hours without crashing, then it suggests that MB, CPU and RAM are OK.
Could it be a HD problem? You could also run stresslinux or similar to stress the CPU.
Also, a drop of oil in the fan bearing often does wonders.

Re: CentOS 7 crash in Yum update at selinux

What do you mean by "hardware reset"? E.g.:
- cycling power
- BIOS reset to default

What do you mean by "don't boot"? E.g.:
- does the GRUB menu come up
- if so, does the rescue kernel work

Re: Access to web site in local

I don't know what the problem is, but you should provide more info, e.g.:
- how is your network/router setup
- does it work if you use IP or "localhost" in the address field

Re: upstart service Centos 6.7

Try to remove "env" from the two lines.
And you really should update to CentOS 6.9.

Re: awk - Korn shell or Bash. Order the output by the absolute pathname of the shell used.

Does this work:
awk -F: '($7 ~ /bash/ || $7 ~ /korn/)' /etc/passwd | sort -t: -k7
BTW: korn is /bin/ksh

Re: Transaction Check Error: file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-dccp ( Updating the Kernel)

I have no idea if this will work (it may even break your system):
Rename the file, update and then check how the new and old files compare.
That said, you really should update to 6 or 7.

Re: backup by using dd

Would rsync be an alternative?
Or set it up as a cron job.

How do you umount it?
Does it work if you reboot?
