Installing Centos 8 on a disk that already has esxi.
No need to save what's there - just need to clobber the disk and install.
Keeps telling me that I've only got 1.5 MB space - want to use the full 300GB.

Re: Can't get bond to work, Partner Mac Address all Zeroes
Coincidentally, I do have an interest in getting lacp to work between esxi and an HPE switch. That is another project I'm working on at the moment. But for this task, I'll take your advice and install a clean Centos8 onto a DL360 server and take it from there. No VMs. Hope Centos8 can install on a g...

Can't get bond to work, Partner Mac Address all Zeroes
Any suggestions are welcome. Connected to an HPE switch. LACP packets are sent from the switch to the Centos 8 (VM on esxi). Verified in wireshark on the Centos side. It appears that the LACP packets are silently discarded. Can't find out where any "lacp log file" might be on Centos. [root@localhost...

Re: bind load errors
Just did some searching and it looks like there is a good alternative to askubuntu.com - ubuntuforums, com.
Not to bash the former... just another avenue.
If all else fails, I'll spin up a Centos 7 vm and try bind on Centos.
Thanks.

Re: bind load errors
Honestly, no it's not Centos. It's ubuntu, but I thought since bind is bind on ubuntu or centos...
So blush...
If there's a better place for this thread, yes, please let me know.
Thanks.

bind load errors
Getting bind load errors. Looks like there's a bug in db.dc.org. If you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. sreeve@dcn1:/etc/bind$ cat named.conf.local // // Do any local configuration here // // Consider adding the 1918 zones here, if they are not used in your // organization //...
