I checked the mac addresses through a program called Advanced ip scanner and i got the result of same mac address for both esxi and the vm running withing it. I made sure to change the address the vm is using but there is no difference on the output mac.

Maybe i should have been more clear in my configuration. I have a router to router bridge connection. I do not think the problem is with the bridge since it works flawlessly when i install a windows vm into the server. Do you mean like no response for a period (10 s, 30 s, 60 s? ) and then communica...

I'm installing the os onto my esxi server (which also where i tested it with Win10). I get a connection if i manually set everything myself but now and then the connection gets faulty and my apache and ssh server stops working for a while. dhcp does not work on setup

The problem that i am experiencing is that i never get assigned an ip address when installing Centos 7 (i am installing with the gui). I tested to install windows on same setup and it automatically got an ip. What kind of problem could cause this?

How do i go about letting my user acces to webfiles thorugh ftp?

So what i have done so far is that i have made the home directory of my user to /var/www/html and whenever i login into the ftp server using filezilla and the ftp user. I have tried to change the permissions for my folder but it seems to not work. Am i supposed to give directory privlages to the use...
