Tool for managing environment variables
I'm in need of advice about tool for centralized management of environment variables for X amount of software products on linux workstations. So far I've found that REZ (https://github.com/nerdvegas/rez) could do that (and much more). But I'd like to check for more options, preferably simpler ones. ...

VSFTP local connection
Hi all. I have working vsftpd server serving connections successfully from outside the office (public IP). However, it won't accept any connections coming on the local interface (192.168.*.*). Even locally I have to connect to the real IP, or the hostname which resolves the same address. Here's my c...

Re: tracker-store and tracker-miner terrorizing CPU
Alright.
Removing the tracker package isn't proper solution because it removes way too many important dependancies.

tracker-store and tracker-miner terrorizing CPU
On our Centos7 (GNOME) workstations we have the processes tracker-store and tracker-miner messing with the CPU load. I found a way to to change some settings of it via the tracker-preferences package, but I'm looking for more radical solution of turning that off completely, ideally during kickstart ...

Re: Using samba AD in mixed OS environment
Hi, fellow countryman:)
Cross-technology sharing happened unplanned. Initially the idea was to use the storage with linux machines only, but so it happens that at the moment its 60:40 ratio towards Windows.
