Re: DNF update issues
What about the last line of the error message? Did you try any of those?

Re: Bash history
Thank you for the responses. I fixed the issue accidentally, at least that's what I believe.
For whatever the reason may be, chmod 600 .bash_history did the trick, even though the permissions were 600 before I "changed" them.

Bash history
Hello all. Running Centos 8 on my Toshiba laptop. If I run a few commands in the bash terminal and then reboot this machine the command history is nowhere to be found. This is all I see upon opening the terminal after rebooting: gjohnson@toshiba-centos8=> history 1 yu 2 su yu is just an alias for yu...

Re: Mysterious 12 minute pause in boot
Could the machine in question be trying to mount a local partition that no longer exists? I've had some long boot delays when a local share has suddenly disappeared, usually due to my own missteps. More like a 5 minute delay for me, never 12 minutes. This could be possible. I quadruple-checked my /...

Re: Hard lockup occurring when copying large files
You remove a memory module, the copy works. You reinstall the memory module, the machine locks up. Replace the memory module.

Re: error fill up my root disk
Seems there is a website constantly trying to load an image but failing? A local web server maybe?
Would it be possible that the Apache logs need a size limit?

Re: My yum update is broken
Looks to me like you may need to remove python-caribou-0.4.16-1.el7.noarch.
This is a suggestion, not a sure fire fix. Maybe someone else could weigh in here before you remove that package.
Code: Select all
yum remove python-caribou
