What about the last line of the error message? Did you try any of those?

(try to add '--allowerasing' to command line to replace conflicting packages or '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)

For whatever the reason may be, chmod 600 .bash_history did the trick, even though the permissions were 600 before I "changed" them.

You remove a memory module, the copy works. You reinstall the memory module, the machine locks up. Replace the memory module.

Looks to me like you may need to remove python-caribou-0.4.16-1.el7.noarch. This is a suggestion, not a sure fire fix. Maybe someone else could weigh in here before you remove that package.
