Re: Requesting Guidance on publically accessible vm's on Centos7 + General Knowledge things

Your gateway is not on the same network as your VM.
You are using a private network which is not accessible from the internet without NAT and port forwarding at the router.

Re: Can not restore server Centos backup due to space disk

You need to create your backup file on another device, not in your root directory.

Re: Joomla Error

Moving files does not set the proper selinux context.
Try "Restorecon -R /var/www"

Re: maldet not e-mailing reports, mail is installed

You should take it up with plesk support.
Control panels make so many changes to the system that normal CentOS management procedures could just make things worse.

Re: Is it sticky bit my only friend?

The ability to create/remove files is determined by the permissions on the directory, not the files.
You are writing to the directory. You are not writing to the file.

Re: /etc/security/limits.conf with 644, but prompts "readonly"

The dot at the end of the permissions means there are extended attributes set.

Re: mariadb access data, how

"I ran one of those yum for updating files and this is what I end up!"

What exactly did you run?

Re: mariadb access data, how

CentOS does not update itself.
CentOS 6 comes with MySQL.
CentOS 7 comes with MariaDB.
What is the output of "rpm -q centos-release"
and "uname -a" ?

Boot the DVD in rescue mode, and restore your grub.cfg from your backups.
