Re: Compiling CentOS 7.5 kernel fails with implicit declaration error

That build error can be fixed by changing

.ndo_change_mtu

to

.ndo_change_mtu_rh74
(Thanks to pgreco for the fix)

A couple of potential patches to fix the issue have been submitted by @pgreco. Centosplus kernels that include the patch (either v1 or v2) are available here:

Please test if you can.
Never mind. It was reported that neither patch fixed the problem. :(

Right. RH is aware of this and they are working on it:

Also ... have you checked the Dell web site? They might offer a Linux driver for that device.

Re: NIC isn't recognised by CentOS7 KS

According to the device ID pairings,

[14e4:165f] -> tg3 driver
[14e4:16d8] -> bnxt_en driver

Both drivers are in the CentOS 6.9 kernel. Do you see them in the output of lsmod?

There is a CentOS wiki article about grub2 written for those who want to edit /boot/grub2/grub.cfg :)

Re: Unable to import Images from a Digital Camera

My answers: 1. No need to remove anything. Just yum install the new one. It will update the existing one. 2. If the next distro package has a newer release/version (for example 2.5.17-1.el7), yum update will find and install it. But if it is not newer (for example, 2.5.15-2.el7), then you'd run 'yum...

Re: Unable to import Images from a Digital Camera

I have built an updated version of libgphoto2 (libgphoto2-2.5.17-1.ay.el7.x86_64.rpm). This fixes the problem. If you wish to test, it is available here:

http://toracat.org/files/rpms/libgphoto2/

[EDIT] You need to log out and log back in after the update.
