Re: NVIDIA GeForce 820 and Centos7

Try using the elrepo repository for NVidia.

Re: How long before your 1st post shows

It depends. We have moderators in various sections of the world, but they may be busy. For example, I'm in the eastern part of the US, but haven't had a chance to look at the forum for a few hours. So there is no clear cut answer, it usually shouldn't be more than a few hours, but posts are manually...

Re: need assistance in configuring vnc server

By the way, one reason I've hardly used it in a few years is because I've found x2go to be much faster.

Re: need assistance in configuring vnc server

I have an old article from Fedora 17, when they first began using systemd with it. It's for tigervnc server, and I haven't tested it in a couple of years, but it may give you a starting point.

Re: CentOS 7.4 nvidia driver install issue

Have you tried using the elrepo version of NVidia? It does all the work for you.

No need to manually blacklist, it takes care of all that.

Re: How can make Dual boot on CentOS 6 for booting Ubuntu?

This is for an older version of Fedora, but might work. That article assumes you want to use CentOS' grub. http://srobb.net/rhgrub.html The other option, which might be better is that once you've mounted the Ubuntu partition as described in the article, instead of running grub-install /dev/sda1 (or ...

Re: Can I find ffmpeg 3 to use with CentOS 7

I just tried building it from source with the their instructions. https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/CompilationGuide/Centos The only issues I found were that xiph.org stuff, (libogg and libvorbis) needed wget instead of curl to fetch the source. Also, I'm not sure that the libvpx compiled correctly, but ...

Re: Warning: /sbin/init INFECTED

This seems to be more of a CPanel question. CPanel does a lot of things to change a system so that it's not really CentOS, and you'd be much better off asking on their forums.

Re: OpenSSH CA Certificates Publishing/Documentation

The key would be stored (you can see this from the example)
in the user's (root's in this case) $HOME/.ssh/ file. The .ssh (note the dot) may have to be created.
Then, following the examples, you would distribute the key to root@remoteserver:/etc/ssh/
