As title. I have done yum update, there are no update available but at boot I see "CentOS 7" and not "CentOS 7.5" or "7.4". I changed the regex "failregex = FAILED login for .* from <HOST>" but it doesn't ban.

as I saied, the SSH jail works correctly.

Are you sure you have the right packages installed? It seems that fail2ban from EPEL7 is split into many different things so maybe you don't have the one with the config installed? # yum list fail2ban\* Loaded plugins: changelog, langpacks, priorities, versionlock Available Packages fail2ban.noarch...

It's an HP ProLiant DL30 with a clean install of CentOS7 4-6 months ago. Over time I've installed httpd, vsftp, and eventually fail2ban with the command I quoted - I don't know where it came from.
