Re: Error Update PHP 5.6 to PHP 7.1

Get rid of webtatic for a start. Install the ius-release package for your CentOS version. Run rpm -qa \*php\* and make a list of the currently installed packages. Use yum remove to remove those then yum install php72u-whatever for all the original packages changing php- to php72u-*.

Re: Error Update PHP 5.6 to PHP 7.1

You appear to have the distro php 5.4.16 installed (we don't ship 5.6 at all). You also appear to be attempting to use the webtatic repo and that's not one we recommend. If you need a replacement php entirely then we usually point people to the IUS Repo. If you want php versions installed in paralle...

Re: Trying to increase the size of the logical drive! `please help

You need to either: delete the existing /dev/sda2 and recreate it starting on the exact same sector number as it does now and ends on the last sector of your newly enlarged disk, save it, reboot, run pvresize /dev/sda2 OR add a new partition, say /dev/sda3, occupying the empty space between the end ...

Re: DVD Repository - going crazy

Why are you doing all that? All that's required is to attach the iso to the VM then mount it on one of the directories listed in the CentOS provided /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Media.repo file (or edit that file and add your own directory to the list). Then run yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=c7-media...

Re: CentOS 7.5 PXE kernel/initrd mismatch

Okay, I figured it out. And I will go into detail about it, hoping that someone else may benefit from my wasted weeks.
Good, you'll be glad to hear that the other person reporting the same problem on IRC had the same situation so you solved his problem too.

Nothing in CentOS will reboot your system every hour.

Re: Every hour CentOS 6.9 restart automatically

We do not support systems with cpanel/WHM installed on them, you will need to seek support from them.

Having said that, there is nothing in CentOS that would auto-reboot a system.

Re: How to allow other than root to write to external mount

First off, don't run out of date and obsolete releases. You are approximately 4 years behind on maintenance - CentOS 6.10 is current and is just a yum update away. There have been some really serious security problems in the last 4 years and if you are on 6.6 then you have none of the fixes for thos...
