Re: STARTTLS not working / Cannot open smtp.gmail.com:587

Well, installing a 2nd or 3rd MTA when one will do is usually not the best answer. In my experience, sendmail is usually not the answer to anything except the question "what is the most complex and unmanageable MTA there is?".

Re: How can we make a custom application resource in Pacemaker

You'd have to write your own resource agent. Start by finding one that already exists and is most similar to the thing you want to manage and copy that.

Re: Centos 7 PXE Boot failing

Use tcpdump on your tftp server to see if packets arrive from the client. See if responses go back. Crank up the loglevel on the tftp daemon and read the logs.

Sorry, I don't do that sort of thing and I would definitely not recommend opening things up to random people you find on the internet.

Re: Centos 7 PXE Boot failing

Well the symptoms you posted are either it's blocked by firewall, it's not got a running tftp daemon to talk to or you've pointed it to a wrong ip address.

Re: 32bit libstdc++ after installing

You sure?

"libstdc++-static-4.8.5-16.el7.i686 : Static libraries for the GNU standard C++ library" - this one looks to me like it supplies the files you say you're missing.

You're not using devtoolset packages though? The system gcc on CentOS 7 is 4.8.5.

Re: Centos 7 PXE Boot failing

Have you opened the correct tftp ports in the firewall? UDP 69 iirc.

Re: Step upgrade problem from CentOS 4 server

Sorry, there is no upgrade path from one major version to the next. There was no upgrade path from 4 to 5 nor from 5 to 6 and from 6 to 7 just will not work at all. Given that CentOS 6 is already in production phase 3 upstream - which means it only receives updates for critical security problems not...

Re: CENTOS 6.2 atd FAILED

Does /etc/passwd exist? If it doesn't, can you add one with the contents root:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash then chmod it 644. See if any other /etc/passwd* files exist that could be used to copy back an older version. From single user mode you can attach a USB drive and copy off any data that is essen...
