Re: Not sure which firewall is running

Well for a start you cannot trust the output of firewall-cmd or systemctl if not run as root. Rerun your commands as root and see if you get the same results. If systemctl status firewalld reports it not running when you are root then it isn't running so the remaining alternative is that you are usi...

Re: Graphical problem on CentOS MATE Terminal Menü...

You just updated to 7.4? I presume you did so make sure you have mate-themes-3.22.13-1.el7.noarch installed then go to Systen->Preferences->Look and Feel->Appearance and I would guess your current theme is one named "Custom". You'll need to redo the customisations you did - pick a differen...

Re: Question about how to check Bond failed information?

There's an nrpe/nagios/icinga plugin called /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_linux_bonding that does exactly that.

Re: Problems loop mounting ufs filesystem on centos7

The kernel modules you're mentioning: ufshcd and ufshcd-pci are part of the CentOS kernel but they're not anything to do with ufs the filesystem. Run modinfo on them and they say they are for UFS controllers. That leaves the onapp kmod-ufs - though ELRepo used to have a kmod-ufs for CentOS 6. I'm al...

Re: Something went very wrong

Use rpm -e --justdb --nodeps $package on each one of those pairs of duplicates to remove the newest of each pair leaving the old one installed. That gets rid of all the duplicates and now you can run yum update to redownload and reapply the updates again. Make sure that whatever the reason for the p...

Re: When we can see kernel 4 on CentOS 7

So fix your set up so that it doesn't have a SPOF. Updating the kernel to something unsupported and without the hours of testing that Redhat do in order to eliminate a possible cause of downtime is probably not the best way to address the issue. Set up an HA environment so that you can minimize any ...

Re: Connect to Windows 10 Pro from a Linux Machine on the same network

Ah, sorry, I misread and thought you were trying to access shares on the Windows machine. Windows 10 uses a newer RDP protocol and I don't think rdesktop can connect to them. Does CentOS 6 have freerdp? or remmina? Both of those work but I'm using CentOS 7 which has newer things available for it. I ...
