Re: wine64 from Epel does not start win32 applications

EPEL updated openal-soft. Yum produces "Multilib version problems found. This often means that the root ..." until an i686 openal-soft update is available. Even after building the openal-soft-1.16.0-1.sdl7.i686.rpm putting it in my local repo and running "createrepo ." and "yum clean all" I had to u...

Re: Where are the Gnome games ?

Step One: Setup typical rpmbuild environment. Search for instructions, there's lots of tutorials on this. Step Two: Download the SRPM for the game from Fedora 20 repo cd ~/rpmbuild/SRPMS wget http://mirrors.syringanetworks.net/fedora/releases/20/Fedora/source/SRPMS/g/gnome-mines-3.10.1-1.fc20.src.rp...

Re: wine64 from Epel does not start win32 applications

Install Springdale EL7 32-bit (Verona) possibly in virtual machine. Use boot.iso from http://springdale.math.ias.edu/data/springdale/7/i386/os/images/ Install EPEL in Springdale. Disable [epel] and enable [epel-source] with enable=0 or 1 setting. You can revert that when this procedure is complete. ...

Re: wine64 from Epel does not start win32 applications

Thanks for explaining PlayOnLinux. I tried it but it crashed when I tried to install the program I wanted which was not on the PlayOnLinux list. Meanwhile I recompiled the EPEL wine RPMs on Springdale EL7 (Verona) 32-bit and it runs EditPad Lite. The tricky part was that Michael Cronenworth's modifi...

Re: CentOS 7 - 32 bit - is there such a thing?

I tried installing Springdale this morning. Due to webserver reorganization it failed. A ticket has been opened. https://springdale.math.ias.edu/ticket/181#ticket UPDATE: turns out I didn't activate the network via the GUI before configuring the base repo. The bug is still valid but not a show-stopp...

Re: wine64 from Epel does not start win32 applications

Yes, I was able to install the 32-bit RPMs from CentOS repos; yum install glibc.i686 alsa-lib.i686 libXv.i686 libXScrnSaver.i686 libSM.i686 libXi.i686 libXrender.i686 libXrandr.i686 freetype.i686 fontconfig.i686 zlib.i686 glib2.i686 libstdc++.i686 Then navigate to the page where the latest PlayOnLin...

It's OK. Even if the question was in the support forum nobody here is smart enough to answer it.
