I don't think that's a valid syntax for --exclude=. Perhaps use --exclude-from=file and put your exclude patterns in that file, one per line. You are missing the "-x" (lowercase) option. Also can be specified as "--one-file-system" .

Now a bit wiser i can add some details. It's a LVM blockdevice on 2 separate SSD's. Didn't know what LVM is until yesterday. Are there log files in /var/log/httpd? If so is there an error_log file there?
