7.4 systemd/libgudev1 update and boot delay
Hi; Running Centos 7.4 as a Guest under VMWare Workstation 12.5, I just recently applied an update to systemd and libgudev1. Now, when I boot I get a stall of over a minute during the boot. Running systemd-analyze blame, it seems to show a delay in systemd-udev-settle 2min 330ms systemd-udev-settle....

Application core files
Hi; I'm trying to get CentOS 6.2 set up so that I can debug C programs I am writting. I see that the 'abrt' component seems to be in charge of core dumps now, and I'm trying to figure out how to get core dumps from my programs. I got pretty far, but I still have a problem with the core file name not...

Re: CentOS 6.2- cachefilesd and CIFS

I guess I failed to mention that I can make this work without fsc. albeit presumably without cachefiled functionality. I was actually hoping to find out if this combination ...

CentOS 6.2- cachefilesd and CIFS
Hi; I was hoping to solve a performance issue I'm having with network throughput from servers I mount (using CIFS) from my CentOS 6.2 64-Bit system. I saw that there was a 'CacheFiles' Daemon package available that might work with my CIFS mounts. So I installed the 'Cachefilesd' package, and tried a...

Re: [SOLVED] CentOS 6.2, How to exit Fullscreen from Virtual Machine?
> Do I understand correctly you have a Windows7 VMWare host, inside of which you have a CentOS guest running KVM, in which you have a Win-7 guest? Yes, that's it exactly. And for the hat-trick, I used 'Remote Desktop Connection' to access the Outer-Host :-). Trying to keeps everything straight in th...

Re: CentOS 6.2, How to exit Fullscreen from Virtual Machine?
>> (I'll try to attach a picture in a future edit, if I can get one). In case anyone was actually interested, here's a picture with a series of screen-grabs, with each snippet showing only the top section of the display at that moment. The top-most snippet shows the CentOS 'Outer Guest' desktop in f...

I kept trying to find a reference document ) somewhere (using google), but seemed to find everything but what I needed. I had tried various keystrokes, but to no avail. As it turns ...

Re: New installation v6.2 won't shutdown
> Shutting Down...Running guests on default URI: I just went through this myself running CentOS 6.2 64-bit under a VMware Workstation 8.0.2 host (Windows-7). If your issue is the same as mine, then this is a bug in the VMware Workstation 8.0.2 BIOS. See the thread at http://communities.vmware.com/th...

[SOLVED] CentOS 6.2, How to exit Fullscreen from Virtual Machine?
Hi; I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to toggle out of a full-screen session of a Virtual machine launched with the Virtual Machine manager (back to the Windowed Console)... I know can leave full-screen mode by shutting down the Guest. But, I'm assuming that there's a way to tog...
