Thank you ...

Re: BIND DNS udp_bad_chksum

Hi pjsr2, thank you for your reply. I'm not sure taht I need that, but at tcpdump bad udp cksum is not the best? I'm in a KVM environment and I found some solutions to speed up the performance with this step. Since I have deactivated the offloading - I think the speed for DNS request are faster! Wha...

BIND DNS udp_bad_chksum

Hi List, I'm using CentOS-7 BIND 9.9.4 package as DNS-Server for my network. I WORKS! - BUT the query's are a little bit slow, so I decided to watch the traffic via tcpdump: # tcpdump -vvv -s 0 -l -n port 53 11:07:00.432814 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 64, id 59529, offset 0, flags [none], proto UDP (17), lengt...

[SOLVED] Re: CentOS-7.4 - rsyslog - imjournal: journal reloaded...

Hi, thank you aks for the tip! I think NOT to use the imjournal module will solve the problem! Here my complete /etc/rsyslog.conf for example: # rsyslog configuration file # For more information see /usr/share/doc/rsyslog-*/rsyslog_conf.html # If you experience problems, see http://www.rsyslog.com/d...

Re: CentOS-7.4 - rsyslog - imjournal: journal reloaded...

Hi aks,

SORRY - I found my mistake - LOGGING is now working without imjournal.

/etc/rsyslog.conf

Code: Select all

# default: $OmitLocalLogging on
$OmitLocalLogging off

Was my fault!

Thank you!
Klaus.

Re: CentOS-7.4 - rsyslog - imjournal: journal reloaded...

Hi aks,

o.k. NOT to use imjournal is maybe the best possibility.

I try to disable imjournal, BUT after that, NO logging was done in any log file?

Can you give me an example of an /etc/rsyslog.conf AND other dependencies, how I can I use rsyslog without using imjournal?

Thank you!
Klaus.
