Re: Linkage Error - Cannot find -lcrypto++

You want the cryptopp and cryptopp-devel packages from EPEL, and change your build to require cryptopp instead of crypto++.

Re: Downloading and installing Cuda 8 installs Cuda 7 instead

Have you added the cuda bin directory (usually /usr/local/cuda-VERSIONNUMBER/bin) to your path?

Re: using 'exec sudo' command env variable $USER not getting updated

I would say test $EUID rather than $USER.

If you want to know about changes to versions of sudo look at the project page:

Re: Lux Repository Safe?

I have never heard of it before now, but it appears to be for EL6/C6 only. And since it includes core components like the kernel and iptables it is not safe.

Re: Exa – A Replacement for “ls Command”

You don't say exactly what you did, but what immediately comes to mind is that you have the devtoolset version of rust, so have you enabled it (e.g. by sourcing /opt/rh/rust-toolset-7/enable?)

What does

Code: Select all

which rustc
tell you?

Re: Wrong size for /dev/shm partition with df -h

Regardless of what the document says, as Trevor says /dev/shm should be tmpfs, not a disk partition.

Re: query about shell

Replace the single quotes around /tmp/home_$dt with double quotes (") so that $dt gets expanded.

Remove the backticks around the cp.

Use the -r option. I suggest you read the man page.
