Re: Hardware upgrade, now can't install Centos6
I was using a disc from an .iso to install. My problem is the version of FreePBX I'm using is Centos 6.6. The install for FreePBX includes Centos. I tested the install of just Centos 6.9 on the server and it also failed. However, Centos 7 installed. FreePBX 14 runs on Centos 7. So, at this point, I'...

Re: Hardware upgrade, now can't install Centos6
I think my issue is my Kaby Lake generation Intel CPU. Based on my research, Centos 6.6 only supports up to Haswell.

Hardware upgrade, now can't install Centos6
I am using FreePBX 13 which uses Centos 6. I recently upgraded my hardware on my server and am now unable to install FreePBX or Centos. However, I am able to install Ubuntu. The install hangs every time at the same spot, the last line on the screen says [<ffffffff8100c200>] ? child_rip+0x0/0x20 I ha...

Changing disk partitions on current setup
Is there a way to change my disk partitions on my current set-up? I am running out of space on my root partition and want to take some (or all) from my home partition. [root@localhost ~]# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/VolGroup-lv_root 50G 35G 13G 75% / tmpfs 907M 0 907...

Thanks for the help, I'll give that a try.
That looks like it would run everyday at 12:15 am, is that correct?

Re: Proper cron command for a weekly reboot
Doing a manual reboot does not shut it down, it performs as expected. The application with the leak is Asterisk. I have tried fixing the leak but doing a reboot has always been suggested. It leaks slow, like only needs a reboot once a week or less. Would I be better off doing a restart? If so, would...

Proper cron command for a weekly reboot
I need to reboot my CentOS server once a week to clear the memory usage. I have been doing this for a few months with this command in the etc/crontab file: 00 04 * * 0 root reboot This entry should make the computer reboot every Sunday morning at 4am. It seems to have been working flawlessly until a...
