Your best bet, install flatpak and then install transmission. Takes all of two seconds.
https://flatpak.org/ go here for flatpak.
Once installed then you can sudo dnf install transmission
Thats it!
Good luck!

Out of curiosity do you have to do this because your machine is not connected upon boot up?

Good morning - You may want to check the AMD site and search for your particular graphics card. I noticed there were drivers for linux and more specifically for Red Hat which should work for your install - https://www.amd.com/en/support

If you're looking to install Filezilla, go the flatpak route. I installed this with no problems. In fact I did this for audacity as well. This was also not in the EPEL repo, this was a quick and easy solution. For more info check out - https://flatpak.org/

Re: yum fails to find libraries
I believe yum is deprecated for 8. Unless of course you installed all the necessary files for yum. In Centos 8 you should be using DNF. I know that in 7 you could not use dnf because dnf is dependant on python 3. Centos 7 uses python 2.7 and yum requires this version of python to run properly. Long ...

Re: Windows users Learning CentOS as first Linux OS
I would throw in courses available in lynda.com. It is a course you will have to pay for but the price is minimal. Another site I can't suggest enough - linux academy. They have dedicated red hat tracks for certification, the cost of linux academy is well worth the price given what your money gets y...

Re: New @ CentOS
Hey lbnux! I guess before anyone can give you the answer to that, you'll have to decide what it is you're trying to do with Centos. If you're just going to use it for a regular desktop, I think your best bet is to jump right into 8 and enjoy the OS from the ground up! If you ultimately want to becom...

Re: upgrade to CentOS 8 from 7????
Hey Oscar, as far as I know there is no way to do this in place. Your best bet is to list your applications and save the folders such as your document, picture, music, etc. Also if you're using thunderbird be sure to make a copy of the .thunderbird folder. Keep in mind the thunderbird folder is a sy...
