Re: How to get package dependencies when not connected to network ?

You can use rpm to list the dependencies of the local rpm file.
Something like this (check the man first):

Code: Select all

rpm -qpR /path/to/rpm
Then note the dependencies and download them , transfer to the CentOS box , run a for loop again and repeat until all deps have been downloaded.

Re: Backup SH File HELP

Just open the file via putty gen and export the private key. Also in the top section , copy the public part and save it in a separate file .
Then you will have both public and private keys in a separate files.

Re: Raid 5 on hp ml110 gen 10

Using fakeraid is pointless, as you will hit several problems: 1. HP Dynamic Smart Array is only supporting UEFI 2. Repair CD (if ever needed) needs the driver to be incorporated before you even try to mount local FS 3. If the motherboard dies, you need the same motherboard in order to access the da...

Re: Dual Boot - Windows is Gone

Even if /dev/sda2 was the actual windows bootloader - he can still repair his windows via install media and start over with the deployment of CentOS from scratch.
So, despite all the trouble, the situation is still OK.

Re: How do you disable selinux?

If you need to resolve SELINUX issues just install:

Code: Select all

 yum install setroubleshoot-server
and then run

Code: Select all

 sealert -a /var/log/audit/audit.log
It will explain how confident is the plugin and viable options, but please read the wiki to learn the basics.

Re: Slow ethernet bandwith Centos 7

Seems ok. Is there anything in the statistics (-S)?
Also run 'ethtool -i'.
Also run 'ethtool -i' under the debian live media to crosscheck which module is used.

Re: Slow ethernet bandwith Centos 7

Paste ethtool's output. Maybe, there is a problem with the negotiation between NIC and the other side.

Re: Dual Boot - Windows is Gone

OK, try to mount your windows and run grub2-mkconfig again:

Code: Select all

 mkdir /mnt/sda{1..3} && for i in {1..3} ;do mount -o ro /dev/sda$i /mnt/sda$i ; done && grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
After that paste the whole grub.cfg file here:

Code: Select all

cat /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

Re: ssh with ldap authentication is not working well

--ldapbasedn="dc=t-logic,c=hu"
Is this a typo or you really have c=hu instead of

Code: Select all

dc=hu

Doesn't 'mysql' service include '3306/tcp' ?
