Re: Wrong public ip OVH vps

We do not support any systems that run a control panel of any description. That includes Plesk, cpanel, DirectAdmin, CWP or anything else even like those. They will all almost certainly install their own copy of httpd and replace the one that we ship. So you either need to ask them about it or go re...

Re: New Workstation Up and Running; Preparing To Jump

You're thinking of AlmaLinux, made by the people who make Cloudlinux. Like Rocky, it's a RH clone and they've made promises about it staying free.

Re: Converting from Scientific Linux to Cent OS

Unfortunately, there is really no way, (even if it was CentOS-6 to 7, or RHEL6 to 7) for an in place upgrade. The only way to do it is to back up your data and reinstall.

Re: Error 15: File not found Press any key to continue

What did you do to get that error. In other words, what command did you run that gave you that error.

Also, note that CentOS 6 has been end of life for awhile now, and is not very secure. If possible, you should upgrade.

Re: Cant install ./awips_install.sh --cave due to 2 problems

Just a note, it's usually better to post the text using the tags as images can't be cut and pasted. In any case you can use dnf provides to see what packaqe might provide the missing .so file But it looks like the program is looking for EOL CentOS-6 packages, so it may be impossible. I have a somewh...

Re: problem starting apache

Were there any noticeable errors in either of those? Often it's a syntax error (more easily found in the systemctl status httpd.service than journalctl which is usually very long. Also, apachectl -t will test syntax before attempting to start.

Re: How to delete a non-empty directory in Terminal?

If a directory isn't empty, you can either change into the directory and remove everything in it, or use rm -fr <directory-name>. Be sure there is nothing in there that you need.

Re: Apache and letsencrypt ssl

There are probably hundreds of such guides. Your best bet is to do a web search for something like centos <version> apache ssl. Out of the various results, look for one that seems good to you, as different people learn best by different methods.
