FN Microsoft and their BS OS question.

Post by OuldeFauder » 2014/04/23 00:46:31

My company uses Win7 MS remote desk to to connect to several virtualbox guest running on a Centos 6.5 server. During testing and various experiments I ended up with many IP's and ports that are no longer useful in MS remote desktop manager. MS states that the connects are stored in the Win7 registry and provide a useless tool to remove the entries or do a sort of manual edit. Good luck with that. Any idea how to remove these unwanted Ip's and ports from remote desktop manager without manually editing the registry?

Moved topic to CentOS Social as it has nothing to do with CentOS.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Find a script from one of the MS support sites that finds and trims the ugly beast known as the "registry"- what a turd ... - they generally use visual basic "scripts" .. xxxx.vb files .. to edit that turd;

If you make a mistake editing the registry it may never boot again ;
