Would You Like To Be Interviewed for CentOS Pulse?

Post by AlanBartlett » 2010/04/13 17:11:21

The subject line really says it all. ;-)

CentOS Pulse is the official name for the monthly newsletter.

Is there a willing victim^W volunteer amongst the regulars who would like to be interviewed? The number of posts credited to you name does not matter -- you would just need to be active here, helping others. As has been previously said, it really doesn't matter what your native language is -- after all, if you are a regular forum helper, you must be understood. :-D

Me not english. Me not regular, me extra large!!!

Sorry, can't help it since it is in social and I am a non-native English speaker/writer :-D

I am just wondering, what are the type of questions that will be asked? I am assuming that some of us here, not only me, are reluctant to give away infos that can be used by to identify the strengths and weaknesses of our system(e.g. I am using this third party software, this is my configuration, etc.). That of course can be solved by hiding any info that can be used to determine the identity of the volunteer.

I love to, but I until some sort protective measures are available/indicated then I may not be willing to.

The questions are normally quite similar if you look at past newsletter [1] you can get a good idea. Of course you should never give any information that compromises your system :) But if you could share some information about the management that would be cool. Maybe not say "We use shorewall to keep 80, 22, 443 ports open" instead "We run web-servers with https enabled" or "We build our own packages because of xxx.

Of course the questions can be modified if there is something you don't want to share.

Cheers Didi
