CentOS 6.1 release??
Re: CentOS 6.1 release??
Something not relative with the subject...
http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOSMinimalCD6.0
ISO checksums is missing from this wiki page, while Minimal CDs have been released about a week ago.

Re: CentOS 6.1 release??
You are correct that it is OT - might have fit better in "WebSite Bugs, Issues, Problems." or under its own Topic; however, thanks for the report. Fixed in English and others should follow.
Re: CentOS 6.1 release??
Any update on 6.1? It all seems to have gone quiet at the usual places Twitter, devel mailing list, QA Website or here.
Last I heard it seemed to be about to go to QA but that was a while back.
Thanks

Re: CentOS 6.1 release??
5.7 CR packages are available now, so I guess QA team is working on 5.7 these days, and then on 6.1 after 5.7 release.

Re: CentOS 6.1 release??
The QA team is currently waiting for developers to decide on the direction to pursue - namely determining the relative priorities of 6.0 CR, 6.1, and 5.7.

I'm pretty sure I misunderstand.
4 weeks ago, I heard: "The last of the 6.1 RPMS is now compiling."
So for 4 weeks, once the development team's effort was finished, the QA team has waited and waited and waited for a go-ahead signal?
I don't think this could be true. What information have I missed?

Well, the QA team was working on CentOS 6.0 LiveCD/DVD and Minimal CD during the second half of July, and on CentOS 5.6 CR packages during the first half of August. They were not just waiting.

Re: CentOS 6.1 release??
And my questions:
1. Will there be Light Weight Server CDs for CentOS 6.0?
2. What's the decision made by the developers, 6.1, 5.7 or 6.0 CR?

Don't believe everything you "hear". ;-)

The only things the QA team has waited for are packages to test. Testing was done on 5.6 [cr] updates and the release was announced. When the next set of packages and/or ISOs are made available to QA they will be tested.

My guess - no. Probably for 6.1.

Still pending, but with 5.6 [cr] out there I suspect 6.x will get priority.
