Request for Technical Reviewer

Post by bertan » 2014/08/16 15:09:58

Frustrated by the lack of step-by-step instructions for FreeRADIUS, I would like to contribute to the community a tutorial of my own. However, I am new to CentOS. I need someone more knowledgeable then me to take a look at what I've written. Therefore if you have the time and the inclination, please let me have your reviewer comments on http://members.shaw.ca/bertan/enterpris ... twork.html

While I am not qualified to make a technical review of your writing, I will say that as someone who, many years ago, had to setup LDAP and FreeRadius, the documentation was very poor. Hopefully, your will be one of the useful ones. It looks quite good to me. The only useful one I found at the time when I needed one was at linuxhomenetworking.com,
http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/wiki ... and_RADIUS which is about 4 years old by now.
New users should check the FAQ and Read Me First pages

Oh, you're more ambitious than me. I just have standalone FreeRADIUS with flat files. But yeah, one of the problems I found is that configuration file names and procedures have changed over the years. A lot of the existing tutorials are out of date. Probably mine will be, too, in six months' time. :D
