Off and on a while ago. Now using it for about 2 months now. Cut my teeth though on RH.

Interesting statistics. I guess I am in the right forum. :)

64...

and I've been using CentOS for about 12 years. Before that, I ran Fedora, but the yearly upgrades were a royal pain, so I installed C4, which I then used for my personal website.

during this time, I wondered which Linux I should use. finally I chose Centos because that it is suitable for server.

I'm at 3 years now. Started in grad school as a research assistant. My shop used centOS for everything. I had minor experience with the school servers, which I think used gentoo. But didn't really know much other than basic bash / shell.

Now I'm building my first homelab and going mostly centOS VMs with a few debian based distros here and there, and I feel like I'm reaching an intermediate level.

I used various Linux distrubutions in the past but nowdays but last 7 years centOS, now also on my HP Proliant ML350p.
On this server is a test case, but it runs fine from the beginning and that's the most important to start with.
And what a surprise, infiniband support right out of the box end it works good.
