Nearly 50. DAMN, that hurt to say. Was Solaris/UNIX trained since mid '90s. Been using RHEL 5/6 at work daily for about six years. Now I'm preparing to transition a couple hundred hosts from RHEL6 to 7. Using CentOS at home to learn faster and get more involved.
The next Poll should include 50+, 60+, and maybe 70+. I'll be there too.
Cheers,
Bits

Nearly 40
Started using CentOS 2 weeks ago. Before that, I've been using Linux Mint for about 3 years.

Glad to see the "over 40" class is a majority here! I am 65 and I have probably been running CentOS while using shared hosting for the past four {4) years, but now I know it is CentOS doing the work at my upgraded-to-VPS account. Over these past couple of weeks I have used PuTTY for the first time ever and now this morning I have installed CentOS here on my own machine. My goal is to add a Minecraft server for my grandchildren at my VPS, and I listen with as much precision as I try to use when asking questions.

I use CentOS 5, 6, for almost six years on a home PC. The sixth branch will be used before the end of the support period. Then most likely move on to ArchLinux. The seventh branch will not used.

I'm 46. Yesterday I decided I want a reliable, boring system on my laptop so installed CentOS

Hello CentOS Community
I have cast my vote on how old I am and could not believe that 43% of you are over the age of 40. Quite a signifigance to my surprise but; hey, the older we get the faster we use to be... Anyways, great bunch here so far. I had my first issue and the help here was fantastic. I am very new to Linux and did manage to get my dual boot with CentOS 7 and Windows 10 working. Once I got past the install issue it went without a hitch. So far, have not had to re-write the boot loader so that is great progress considering I am just starting out and have never used Linux. All in all, you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Over 45 and still learning.
hope to chat with some of you in the near future.
