I've been a long time PC user since the early dos days, but have only briefly touched on linux in the past. I've been using CentOS 7.2 as my main desktop for a few weeks now and I am really enjoying it.

I played with Redhat a little in high school. Was version 4 then; pre-RHEL. Got back into it about 8 years ago. Have been pounding my head on the keyboard ever since, and loving it.

Thanks,
Bob

I am in my late 40s. I have used Linux off and on since Red Hat 4 in the 90s. I used Linux to setup a few netbooks that I had lying around so my children could start doing some online early learning.

I've been using CentOS / CAOS, Whitebox Linux (WBEL) and some Scientific Linux since RH9 days. So this is late 2003 /early 2004.

I also used Progeny Red Hat 7.3 update service along with custom kernels (up to 2.4.37.11) to keep Red Hat 7.3 alive for an appliance.

Hey, does anyone remember the "Halloween release" of Redhat?
Somewhere in the 1990's ... I think around '96 .....
That was a good release.

Started playing with computers in the 80's first machine was a Sharp MZ80K, 48k ram 8bit Z80 CPU. I am now 63 and been using linux since the 90's ish started with redhat then Fedora, a brief bash at Suse and then moved to Centos since version 5. I now run Centos 7 on my main machine which is dual boot with windows 7 and Centos 6 on my firewall/gateway/DHCP/DNS/Nis/svn/git/samba/NFS server, all completely pointless but I had fun learning how to get it all working. Currently struggling to get my head around Gtk3.

I've used CentOS since the 4th release. Before that I used Fedora Core and before that Red Hat Linux and Mandrake Linux (fun times). Nowadays I use CentOS on my server boxes (refusing to even think about the possibility of trying anything else), while my desktops run mainly Windows or Fedora/Ubuntu. I almost never dual boot. Using CentOS as my desktop OS is in my plans for the future.

Entered binary to play songs.
First linux box was Slack
I am old enough to have dodge being stepped on by reptiles.
Used rpm based distros almost exclusively since 2011.
