Greetings - Moderators and users.

I'm not new to linux. (We used it at home) and used Unix at university in the 1990s.

It took forever to find a distro bare enough to suit what I learned on... without detritus and not totally spartan. (You know the sistros I'm referring too.

I think that I have found a home that is committed to opensource in its core implementation.

Thanks in advance. ( I'll ask "strange"questions that combine knowledge and basics)
