Spacewalk shows "no updates" but yum update shows 19 updates

Post by 5mall5nail5 » 2015/11/20 01:36:43

Hey guys I have a test Spacewalk environment. In it, I have 2 managed nodes. One shows updates required. The other says its green/"OK" but when I run yum update on the actual node console it says there are updates to apply.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

If you've updated across releases (7.0 -> 7.1), the centos-release package will put the enabled repository files back in /etc/yum.repos.d/. This will cause your node to look in your spacewalk and in the public yum repositories for updates. Depending on y our repository sync schedule in spacewalk, the public repos might be a bit ahead and have new packages.
