Greetings and salutations! My name is Chuck and I am just starting to dive into Linux in general and my company already uses CentOS 5.0 for our FTP server and several others including the four monster PE2950s I just built.
I am very impressed at how polished and clean the OS is and now that I have picked up a few tidbits, I find I am anxious for more. Please excuse any newby mistakes I might make (hopefully I will have limitted those by actually reading the FAQs here first for once lol).
Really looking forward to learning and maybe even sharing with others here if I can!
Howdy All!

Welcome to CentOS Chuck :-)
Do take a look around at the information both here on the forums and also on the Wiki (wiki.centos.org) - there's some useful information that will point you in the right direction here:

Howdy, pardner. How's the air in the Denver bowl these days? Spent some weeks there in the early 90's and enjoyed the Rockies and and the walking trails in the parks.

Re: Howdy All!
First off, thanks for all the welcome posts! Thanks mucho! Secondly, the weather here is still spitting but about to relinquish the winter grip in favor of spring :) Yeah! Lastly, I am merrily typing away on my new Linux install (did 4 just before this that went off perfect) after finally overcoming the first hurdle it tried to throw my way (problem in GUI with my video card)! Success was very much in part due to the solid advice of proper use of the existing resources so I appreciate the pointers and so far they have kept me from needing to ask! (for now lol). For the moment, that damn /var/log directory is REALLY helpful :)
Thanks again y'all!
