I've lost my way I guess...

Post by bugmenot » 2015/05/26 20:15:31

Hi I'm new user of CentOS here with experience of apt-based distro's (Ubuntu, Debian) and Sabayon.

I wonder, the Debian project has something like https://www.debian.org/security/2015/ e.g. a website with Atom/RSS feed to get informed about new packages fixing exploit(s).

Does the CentOS project has an equivalent of that? I can't find it on the website...

No maillist please, I've a daily flood of mail already >.O

Best Regards

Sorry, there is only the CentOS-Announce mailing list. Once you are subscribed you can customise which version and/or architectures you're interested in seeing mails for.

Oh, you could also use the upstream errata pages since CentOS is bug for bug compoatible:

https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/rhel-server-7-errata.html
https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/rhel-server-6-errata.html
https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/rhel-server-errata.html (for RHEL5)
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
Use the FAQ Luke

Ouch, that's a pity.

How fast is the mailinglist-archive about it in sync with the mailinglist itself? Then I'll check that occasionally.

methinks setting up an own polling RSS server for that.

Offtopic:
FYI: I noticed the link "help page" in https://community.redhat.com/centos-faq/#_finding_help is broken. I didn't want to open a new topic for it.
