Can't Install

I downloaded and created USB drive and started installation process, but it wants an Installation Source. I tried selecting the USB, but it said the Media was bad. I read that I needed to copy the ISO image to the drive. So I did and put the drive back. Same story. The media wasn't bad when I booted up the machine.

I tried referring to several of the URLs I found on line (none of this is mentioned here that I can find). None work. I keep getting "Error setting up base repository". What does this mean? Does it mean the URL is bad? Maybe the network is not working - I can't tell.

I looked on this site and there are no instructions for creating a bootable USB drive. Have you heard of USBs? Almost every is using them, but you prefer to only give instructions on burning CDs. Perhaps you could do some exploring?

There really is no instruction I can find here to help me. Do you want people to use your OS? Why do you make it so difficult?

Roger

Yes, we've heard of USBs. Have you heard of google and the CentOS wiki?

Thanks so very much! I owe you a big thanks and an apology for my snarkiness.

I hope someone else can benefit from your reply. Thank goodness I had another CentOs installation to create the USB drive from, apparently Windows just doesn't work.
