/not to self...
I think a well written overview on how to install software on CentOS would be useful. Yum, repositories and priorities, not installing from source tarballs etc.
The information is all on the Wiki, but spread across separate pages.

Re: New Topic "FAQ & Readme first"
Many people still are not reading the 'Readme first".
How about directing anybody who attempts to post to
the Readme first if they have not set the 'From' in their profile?
Is this possible?
Have the readme first tell them at the end that they must set the
from field in their profile before posting.
This would force them to ready the instructions, and also allow
us to see where the poster is from.

I don't see an easy way to do that with the forum software.
The information in a person's profile is optional - they don't have to fill it in if they don't want to.
The developers are currently in the process of considering alternative forum software things may change. I would think it might be useful to automatically redirect users to the FAQ & Readme first forum on first login after registration maybe.

Don't like the colour of your stars. The shade is too weak. Hint: Think Liverpool FC.
