Can't create new Xen HVM DomU under Bullseye Domo host

Post by Sozi » 2023/09/30 09:43:37

Hi,

I recently upgraded by Xen Dom0 host from Centos 6 to newer hardware running Bullseye -- a very easy upgrade, with the DomU HVM images, along with XL configuration, simply being copied to the new system and running -- very impressive!

Now though I'm wanting to create a new HVM DomU under Bullseye and cannot get as far as booting the installation ISO. I'm guessing there's some subtle configuration setting that's eluding me. Besides Centos 12 I've also tried booting a system rescue ISO, with exactly the same result.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks,

You're in the wrong forum. Bullseye is Debian and there is no CentOS 12, only Debian 12 (Bookworm). You want a Debian forum.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
